Commitment to Non-Discrimination
There are signages that promise non-discriminatory treatment installed throughout the hospital in charge of treating the LGBTQ+ community.

First Registration Card
When you come for your first consultation, you will be asked to write the name you want to be called, and the consultation area you are interested in on a card and submit it. The name you want to be called is stored in the electronic medical record system so that medical/administrative staff can always recognize it.



Gender-Neutral Restroom
The gender-neutral restroom, the first of its kind in a university hospital in Korea, has a wide space to allow wheelchair entry. It is equipped with a safety bar, and the sink and cubicles are decorated with rainbow art so that anyone can use it with comfort.

Information Materials
The waiting room is equipped with brochures related to LGBTQ+ health/human rights, community news, and guidance materials to provide you with useful information.



Bulletin Board
You can be notified about the monthly online LGBTQ+ health lecture [Smart Q] and information on participating in research related to LGBTQ+ health/human rights.


Dedicated Allied Doctors
All departments of Kangdong Sacred Heart Hospital have dedicated medical staff (Allied Doctors) for the medical care of the LGBTQ+ community.
Ongoing Training for Staff
Ongoing staff training is provided to create a LGBTQ+ community-friendly treatment environment.
